What are Displays?
A Display is the physical screen the Presentation will show on. To show a Presentation on a Display, the Display needs to be added to Rise Vision, connected to a Media Player (a dedicated computer) that has Rise Player software installed on it and, the Rise Player software must be uniquely addressed using a Display ID.
A Display ID is a unique code that is generated when you add a Display to Rise Vision. Then when you're installing Rise Player on a Media Player for the first time, you’ll be prompted to enter that Display ID. The Display ID tells Rise Vision which Media Player is running, and in turn, Rise Vision sends the correct Presentation data to that Display.
How do I access Displays?
There are two ways to access Displays:
- After logging into Rise Vision, the Displays column on the Rise Vision Home page will list all Displays in your company. You can click on any Display in the list to open it.
- Click Displays in the navigation menu to go to the Displays page. On this page you can Search for a Display by name or scroll through a list of the Displays you have added.
How do I add a Display?
When you create your first Presentation, Rise Vision prompts you to add a Display. When you add your first Display, you’ll be asked to name it and then you will be provided with its unique Display ID. You’ll also be provided with links to download the Rise Player software.
A shop owner already has a Display in their lobby, and would like to add a second Display to their consultation room. After navigating to Displays, they click Add Display + .
Adding additional Displays follows the same process as adding the first Display. First, name it to keep things organized. The shop owner is naming their Display “Consultation Room”. After naming the Display, they are presented with the Display ID and download links. You will also receive an automatic email with the subject line “Set Up Your Display With Rise Vision” containing the Display ID and download links.
