This article describes your options to set up a power schedule for your Display.
While power scheduling is not something that the Rise Vision Player or Rise Vision Apps can provide, we do have some options for you!
Set up a power schedule on your Display monitor
Your Display monitor may have a power schedule function that allows it to turn on and off at certain times. Since these options vary widely depending on the manufacturer and model, you will need to contact the manufacturer of your Display monitor for more details.
Set up a black screen on your Display
If you would like to display a black screen during hours that the Display is not in use, you can create a Presentation with a black background and Schedule it to appear after hours. If you’re not familiar with Presentations, please see our Presentations article. If you’re not familiar with Schedules, please see our Schedules article.
First, create your black presentation. While at https://apps.risevision.com/editor add a new Blank Presentation. When the Presentation Editor opens, you will be asked for the Presentation properties. Name the Presentation and set the background to rgba(0,0,0,1). Save and Publish the Presentation. This will create a Presentation that shows only a black screen.
Schedule this Presentation during the hours you should like to show a black screen on your Display.
