Rise Vision Player is supported on Windows 10, Windows 11, and Windows IoT Enterprise. It is not supported on Windows 10 or 11 Home.
To install Rise Vision Player on Windows, you must be a local administrator. Rise Vision Player uses a native Windows Installer and offers two possibilities:
- Admin-privileged installation mode, which provides access to the new features of the Rise Vision Player. This mode includes:
- Multi-user installation (any signed-in user of this device can use Rise Vision),
- Classroom Alerts support (the Rise Player can open and take control if a different application is in use),
- Screensaver support (the Rise Player will open as the screensaver if the device is left idle),
- Displays that can log out can still have classroom alerts and screensavers shown.
- Non-admin privileged installation mode, which does not allow access to the special features of an admin-privileged mode.
Prerequisites
- .Net 9.0 framework must be installed on the device if you intend on installing the admin-privileged mode. The user will be redirected if this package is not found.
- Windows is developed and maintained by Microsoft. Microsoft may occasionally release updates that require user input to complete. It's recommended to place your device somewhere you can access it.
Install Rise Vision Player
- Check if your system is 32-bit or 64-bit.
- Windows 10 shows this in Start > Settings > System > About under System Type.
- Windows 11 and current versions of Windows IoT Enterprise are only available as 64-bit OS. - Download the 32-bit installer or the 64-bit installer for Rise Vision Player depending on your System Type.
- Double-click the installer to run it.
- We suggest selecting the Next button in the installation window to proceed with the Admin-privileged installation. Otherwise, select the Install without admin privileges to install without admin privileges.
- Administrator privileges will be requested if you proceeded with the admin-privileged edition of the installation. If no administrator privileges are allowed, the installer will fallback to non-admin privileged mode install.
- Upon completion of the installation and the Rise Player application is launched, the Rise Vision activation screen will be shown. Activate your display by following the on-screen instructions.
