What is a Media Player?
A Media Player is a small computer that is connected, typically with an HDMI cable, to the TV (Display) that you want your content to appear on. The Media Player (computer) has our Rise Player software installed on it to show your content on the TV (Display).
We offer inexpensive pre-configured Media Players or you can configure your own.

Once you receive your Media Player plug in your Display, enter the Display ID, and show the content you’ve created!

Configure Your Own Media Player
If you don’t want to purchase a Rise Vision Pre-Configured Media Player you can use any computer that meets our system requirements for Windows, Linux, Chrome, and Raspberry Pi.
If your showing simple content made up of text and images.
- For Windows and Linux an Intel Atom x5 processor and at least 2GB of DDR3-1600 MHz memory.
- For Chrome OS an RockChip RK3228C or better processor and at least 2GB of DDR3-1600 MHz memory.
- For Raspberry Pi a Raspberry 4 Model B with a Class 10 SD card or better and at least 2GB of memory.
If your showing more intense content like video, animations, and 4k resolution.
- For Windows and Linux an Intel Core i3-5010U processor or better and at least 4GB DDR3-1600 MHz memory.
- For Chrome OS an Intel Celeron 3865U processor or better and at least 4GB DDR4 memory or better.
- We do not recommend running on Raspberry Pi if showing more intense content like video, animations, and 4k resolution.
Supported Operating Systems
Rise Player is supported on the following operating systems.
- Chrome OS (install Rise Player on Chrome OS)
- Windows 10 (install Rise Player for Windows)
- Ubuntu 18.04 (install Rise Player for Linux)
- Raspbian Buster (install Rise Player for Raspberry Pi)
If you are using Windows 10 on your own Media Player we recommend optimizing it for Rise Player with these settings.
Windows XP and Ubuntu 14.04 are no longer supported.
