You can use a touchscreen Display along with Rise Player to create an interactive Presentation. Here we will outline some of the steps needed to ensure interactive (use of a touch screen) functionality works with your Presentation.
Set mouse pointer to unhidden
By default, your mouse pointer is hidden for all Presentations. In order to enable interactive functionality, the mouse pointer needs to be unhidden.
- Click the Settings icon in your Presentation.
- Uncheck Hide Mouse Pointer.
- Save and Publish your Presentation.
Set your Widgets to allow interactivity
Several Widgets allow interactivity. You will need to enable the following settings within Widget properties.
- Web Page Widget - Check Allow Interaction
- Image Widget - Uncheck Auto Hide Navigation
Troubleshooting your touchscreen
If interaction with your Presentation is not working after following the above steps, your Media Player may not be set up to take advantage of touch screen input. Exit Rise Player and try using your touch screen to navigate your Operating System. If you are unable to navigate your Operating System using the touchscreen, it is likely that the hardware is not set up properly. Please contact your hardware manufacturer for support.
If you are able to navigate your Operating System, but are unable to use touch screen interaction with Rise Player, please ensure that you’re on the latest version of Rise Player, and upgrade if needed.
