By default, when you add a Display it will be configured to reboot everyday at 3:00 am, per your Media Player. If this time is not convenient, you can adjust this to a time that works for you from the Display Settings Page. We do not recommend disabling the nightly reboot. Here’s why,
Keep your version of Rise Player current
New versions of Rise Player are continuously being released that include improvements to reliability and new features. It is important that the version of Rise Player in use by your Display is current. The easiest way to do that is using the nightly reboot. When Rise Player restarts, it will automatically check for and install any pending updates.
Clear system memory
Systems left running for long periods of time could encounter issues that impact the reliability of your digital signage, or result in your content not appearing as expected. Configuring your Media Player to reboot daily is a simple way you can prevent these types of issues from occurring.
