What is Play Until Done?
Play Until Done (PUD) is a command that is sent by a specific Widget when it has completed showing all of its content that is scheduled. When Play Until Done is selected, and a Widget has completed showing it’s scheduled content, a done command will be sent to the Presentation, telling it to move onto the next item in the Placeholder.
Example:
I have a Placeholder in my Presentation that contains a Google Calendar, a folder of Images, and a Video. All are set as Play Until Done.
In this case, I have my Google Calendar Widget set to scroll continuously. After it scrolls through all of the events it has to display, the Calendar widget will send the Done command and the Placeholder will now display the Image Widget.
The Image Widget is setup to display a folder of five images, each will display for six seconds. After all five images have displayed for six seconds each, the Image Widget will send the Done command and the Placeholder will now display the Video Widget.
The Video Widget is setup to play a 45 second video. After the video plays all the way through, the Video Widget will send the Done command and the Google Calendar Widget will begin playing again.

Are there Widgets or Widget configurations that don’t support Play Until Done?
Some Widgets do not support Play Until Done, or only support Play Until Done in specific configuration. If you select “Play Until Done” on a Widget that does not support Play Until Done as Play Until Done, it will never move on to other content in the Placeholder. The Placeholder will act as if the content set as Play Until Done is never done, and it will continue to display only that content until it is set with a valid duration.
Some Widgets that do support Play Until Done have specific settings that will not allow the Widget to send a done command, resulting in a Placeholder continuing to show only this content.
Example:
I have a Placeholder in my Presentation that contains a Google Calendar, a folder of Images, and a Video. All are set as Play Until Done.
In this case, the Google Calendar Widget has it’s Scroll feature set to No. Since it is not scrolling through any content, it will never send a done command, and that Placeholder will never move onto the Folder of Images or Video Widget. The Google Calendar Widget needs to be set with a duration if it is not set to scroll.
