This article shows you how to enable YouTube’s automatic captions so they appear by default when your video plays in Rise Vision. This ensures your content is accessible wherever the video is embedded, not just on YouTube.
Requirements
- You must be the owner of the YouTube video.
- You need access to the YouTube account that uploaded the video.
Instructions
- Log in to the YouTube channel that owns the video.
- Click your user icon in the top right corner and select YouTube Studio.
- From the left-hand menu, click Content and select the video you want to update by clicking on its name.
- Scroll to the bottom of the video details page and click Show more.
- Find the Tags field and add the following tag:
yt:cc=on
- Click Save.
Behavior Notes
- Adding
yt:cc=on
turns captions on by default for all viewers, even when the video is embedded in Rise Vision or other platforms. - This setting doesn’t force captions to appear if no automatic or manual captions exist for the video.
