Using Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), your users can sign in to Rise Vision using SSO with a supported identity provider. You can also set up user provisioning in Microsoft Entra by following this guide. For more details read the Microsoft Guide here
Enable SSO In Rise Vision
You can access your SSO settings in your account’s Company Settings. You must be an administrator to view and edit SSO settings. Find more in our article here.
- Log in to your account at risevision.com
- Click on your username on the top-right hand corner of the screen
- Choose company users and navigate to the SSO Settings tab
- Make sure that SAML Single Sign On (SSO), Require SSO for all users, and Enable SSO User Provisioning are all enabled and click Save.
Add Rise Vision to your Microsoft Entra Admin Center
Set up a custom application in Microsoft Entra for Rise Vision
- Navigate to your Microsoft Entra admin center and login
- On the left side panel under Identity, Navigate to Applications and choose Enterprise applications
- From the top bar choose + New application and then + Create your own application
- For the option What's the name of your app? type "Rise Vision"
- For the option What are you looking to do with your application? choose "Integrate any other application you don't find in the gallery (non-gallery)"
- Click the Create button (This may take a moment)
Configure your SAML settings
Finally we'll configure our newly created application
- From your newly created application's side menu heading Manage choose Single sign-on
- Select the tile titled SAML and under the basic SAML Configuration, tile click Edit
- Identifier (Entity ID): https://rvaserver2.appspot.com/sso/sp
- Reply URL (Assertion Consumer Service URL): https://rvaserver2.appspot.com/sso/acs
- Click Save
Provision users in Microsoft Entra
Once you have enabled SSO in Rise Vision, it is time to create your users in Microsoft Entra. We will need to create a new custom attribute for the Rise Vision Role, Set up mapping of our attributes, and then set up roles for existing users.
Create a custom attribute that holds the user roles
From your Microsoft Entra account:
- Navigate to your newly created created application Rise Vision
- On the Left sidebar menu, navigate to Manage > Single sign-on
- On the Attributes & Claims tile, click Edit
- Click +Add new claim, then populate these fields with existing attributes
Warning -- Make sure these attributes are available to be used within your system, your preferences and setup may vary according to your organizations rules. If not, use a different field than user.jobtitle
- Repeat the process of adding a new claim for each item in the table below. The left column is the Name field, and the right column is the Source Attribute leave the source type as Attribute

- Click Save
Set up roles and invite existing users

- Navigate to Identity > Users > All users
- Select a user by clicking on their name, navigate to Properties
- Under Job Information assign any of the roles from the left side of the table below exactly how they appear using a comma separated list

- Click Save
You are ready to start inviting your users to join your Rise Vision organization, be sure to invite them to the correct sub-company. Each sub-company has a unique invite link.
When you are on the correct Sub-company, from the top right menu in Rise Vision choose Company Users > SSO Settings and copy the link from the section titled First time user login instructions.
This will create an association between the user in Entra and their company in Rise Vision.
