If a Ticker does not have a NUC already installed (for example, you are replacing a Jetway media player), then you will need to install a Legacy NUC Power supply to power the NUC.
NOTE: Make sure to the power is completely turned off before starting. You will get electrocuted if power has not been turned off from the breaker. Using your multimeter, ensure there is no power going to the Power Supply.
Connect the NUC Power Supply to the 120VAC terminals of a power supply - connecting the white wire to the terminal marked ‘N’ (white wire), the black wire to the terminal marked ‘L’ (black wire) and the green wire to the terminal with the Earth Ground marking (green wire). Make very certain the connections are good and tight. Incorrect connections could damage the unit and potentially cause a fire.
Secure the NUC PC power brick to the Ticker Cabinet. Fish the power cord to the NUC PC and plug into the NUC PC. Double check that you have correctly connected the spade connectors of the NUC PC power cord. Now that the power brick for the NUC has been installed, proceed with this repair as you would with any other. Install the NUC and connect it to their LAN and the Ticker Controller as usual.
