If you try to install a supported Rise Player version on your media player, and see a message stating that installation could not be completed since there is an existing Chrome App Player, you can follow the steps below to get this corrected.
Uninstalling Chrome App Player
- Connect a keyboard and mouse to the Display while the Chrome App player is running and press Alt + F4 at the same time. This should kill the Player and bring you to the desktop.
- Start Google Chrome, and navigate to chrome://apps in the address bar. In the list of Apps installed in Chrome, you will see the Rise Vision Player. Right click on it, and choose Remove from Chrome:
- Confirm you want to remove the Rise Player, and DO NOT check Report abuse, and then close Chrome.:
- IMPORTANT** If you have set up a startup shortcut in to autostart the Player when the Display reboots, be sure to remove that by right clicking it in the Start Menu and choosing to Delete.
- Reboot your Display.
