The clocks on your Rise Vision presentations are controlled by the system clock on your media player. If the clock on the media player is not set correctly, the time on your display will be wrong.
This article covers how to correct the system clock.
Before you begin, you’ll need to be able to access the device with a USB mouse and keyboard.
Step 1: Locate your media player.
Your media player is a small computer that is connected to the TV your content appears on. You can usually find it by tracking the HDMI cable from the back of the TV on which you’re seeing the problem.
Step 2: Connect your mouse and keyboard.
Once you’ve located the media player, connect the mouse and keyboard to the USB ports. These are typically found at the back of the media player.
Step 3: Close Rise Vision Player.
You can close Rise Vision Player and get to the desktop with Ctrl + Shift + Q.
Step 4: Find the system clock settings.
These next few steps will vary depending on which Operating System you are using on your media player.
Windows 10/11:
- Go to Start > Settings > Time & Language> Date & Time.
Ubuntu 18.04:
- Go to the System menu > Settings > Date & time
Raspbian:
- Go to Menu > Accessories > Terminal
- Run the command `sudo raspi-config`
- Choose Internationalization options > Time Zone
Once you have verified the device has the correct time, reboot the Rise Vision Player.
