The simplest way to show a video on Rise Vision is to upload it using the Video Full Screen Template. If you want to show live streams as opposed to pre-recorded videos, please refer to this article instead.
For more flexibility, you can also show videos, playlists and live streams from Youtube as part of a Rise Vision presentation. Most videos and streams can be used, but there are a few things to keep in mind:
- Embedding permissions are controlled by the content owner, so not all videos or streams can be embedded.
- Content owners can make changes on Youtube and these will affect video playback on your Rise Vision display.
- Since the content is coming from Youtube, advertisements from the content owner may appear.
This video goes over how to set it up:
To add your Youtube video to your Rise Vision display, start from the Youtube Full Screen Template.
On the left menu, click on “YouTube”. Paste the URL to your Youtube video, playlist or live stream into the provided field. You can set the volume for the video using the slider. Depending on your browser settings the video may not play automatically in the preview, but it will play automatically once it is on your display.
Once you’re done, click on “Publish” on the top-right, and add the presentation to your schedule.
