Each Display has a unique ID that is used to activate it. Each ID can only be used on 1 Display at a time.
If you activate a Display with an ID that is already in use, the Display on which it was already being used will be deactivated. Only the most recently activated display will remain active and be able to show content.
If this happens accidentally, you can correct the problem by creating a new display ID for the affected display. Here’s a quick video going over the whole process:
Obtaining a new Display ID
- Log in at risevision.com
- Go to Displays
- Click on Add Display
- Name your Display and click Save
- The Display ID will be shown in the list of settings on the left.
Reactivating the Display with a new ID
- Restart the device you want to activate with a new ID.
- When Rise Player starts, there is a brief countdown.
- Interrupt the countdown by clicking on or selecting “Change Display ID”.
- Delete the existing Display ID, and enter your new Display ID.
- Click or select “Continue” and then on “Start Rise Vision Player”
- The display will activate and scheduled content will start showing automatically.
