    Hi Wayne,

Have you tried using our Google Calendar Gadget? In that Gadget you can change the font size as well as type and color.

Using the method you are doing and embedding the Calendar itself, I can't see a way to modify the font at all - and based on what I've seen in the Google forums, it isn't a feature that is available.

    Thanks.

I really need the week view and your gadget is basically text only. I need the blocked out appointments on the week.

I can understand where you're coming from.

While I don't have any further ideas on how this could be done, hopefully others will chip in with suggestions.

If I do find something that works, I'll let you know.

    Hi Wayne,

I haven't come across anything that would allow you to increase the size of the font when embedding a calendar.

    Thanks.

Wayne - I looked at your preview link you put on your post. Are you pulling that from Google Calendar? I was able to make a spreadsheet in Google Drive and change the font sizes and colors of the cells to look similar to what you have in the preview. With this you can go to Google Drive and click File -Publish to the web. Copy the document link and go back to Rise Vision. In Rise Vision you can add a webpage widget from the Content option of your placeholder. I wasn't able to use the embed link my spreadsheet showed up small, I am not sure what I was doing wrong. But this seems to work. You can even have it update at whatever minute interval you want. So you make changes to the schedule on the Google Drive sheet and then it should update on the Rise Vision presentation. Basically whatever my spreadsheet looks like in Google Drive is what it looks like on the presentation. Here is a link to my presentation preview. It's a little ugly, but just to show what it looks like

I too, find that I am frustrated with gCalendar for the aforementioned reasons.  As we are aging in place, many of our work conditions have changed so that we can no longer use Outlook (boo-hoo) and are forced over to gmail product line.

That said, it would stand to reason, that someone at Google with a bright idea or two, would come up with a "cunning plan" for those of us who are ocular challenged!  Having to:
     -  Increase my browser to be able to read this platform's content
     -  Copy/paste into yet another format such as Christa is suggesting (I might as well go old-school and use a paper calendar for Pete's sake....)
     -  And I want BLACK font, none of this chic grey that some sites are using
just make it so much more difficult to run a business or participate in someone else's biz.

Upside?  Just waaaaait until YOU turn 40+ and your vision tanks.  You'll wonder why no one ever thot of you before.  Lemme know when there's a "fix" such as a lab or other widget of some sort please....

Are you wanting this for RiseVision or just Google Calendar in general?

  • It's been three years since the last post here about this and there hasn't been any improvements on getting the tiny print in embedded calendars allowed to be increased. Some of the requests in producforums.google.com go back over seven years. <sigh>I wish someone at Google was listening, although it doesn't appear so.</sigh>
