That $10 does not cover sub-companies, does it? Technically, we are one company, but we use sub-companies as 'folders' to keep things (templates) organized.

    Hi Darius,
you are correct, it doesn't cover sub-companies.
But as a clarification, the subscription is checked when playing on the Display, so the Display should belong to a company that is subscribed to Embedded Presentations.
    Thanks!

Good to know - so this means that if a display that plays an embedded presentation is located in another company, that would mean BOTH companies require a subscription to embedded presentations?

    Hi Alex,
no, only the Company that the Display belongs to will need a subscription.
Companies (or sub-companies) DON'T need a subscription to manage Embedded Presentations in the Editor.
    Thanks!

Apologies that I'm still a little confused by your answer :)

Let's say I have company A with a presentation that's only 640x480.  I embed that presentation into sub Company B's presentation, in a placeholder.  sub Company B has the display registered into it's account.

Since the source of the embedded presentation is in Company A, but the the display is registered in sub Company B...how many subscriptions to the embedded widget are required?

Alex, y u make things so complicated LOL? But, seriously, that is a good one.

One of my many strengths ;)  But yah, I need to know the nitty gritty stuff.

    Alex, sorry if I wasn't clear :)

In your example, as the Display is registered into sub-Company B, only sub-Company B will need a subscription. Company A will not need a subscription.

The Display should belong to a subscribed company, it doesn't really matter where the embedded Presentation is coming from.

    I hope that helps!

    Hi Prakash,

If you already have a storage subscription and wish to purchase the bundle here are the steps you should take:

    1. Cancel your current storage subscription
    2. Once canceled, send us a message confirming it's been canceled and are going to purchase the bundle. You can reach us at support@risevision.com
    3. We can then refund your for your storage subscription for the time you have left. (IE if you have 6 months left on your subscription, we'll refund $60)
    4. From there you can purchase the bundle

Feel free to shoot us a message if you have any issues

What is different now, we were told that 'The problem with Embedded Presentations is they are really complex to manage. And when things don't work right, they can be a nightmare to troubleshoot'

    Hi,
we worked on code rewrites, improvements and fixed issues. Now the code follows best practices and it is easier to maintain.
    Thanks!

I have a problem using the HTML Widget.

    1. I make Presentation_01_HTMLWidget and and Presentation_02_HTMLWidget
    2. I put content (html code or something) into this HTML Widget
    3. Then I make Presentation_03_ParentOfEmbededPresentations
    4. Now I embed the two presentation (01 and 02) into the 03 presentation

When I play this presentation, it seems like it will re-fresh the HTML Widget every ~10 seconds.

What is going on with this?

Note: I can use the depreciated HTML Item from Rise Classic.

Can you guys give some insights here?

    Thanks a ton!

    Jeremy,

Can you let me know the names of the Presentations in your Company that you are seeing this with? I wanted to make an exact duplicate of them to see if I can recreate and investigate.

    Thanks!

I meant to come give some input on this the day it was announced, but have been a little busy with other things. Sadly, this is not a solution for us. We're in the same boat as Darius and Alex above.

We use sub-companies as containers to manage many locations. We are just one company that manages all of their signs, however it's a nightmare to keep ALL displays in our one single company. Our profit margin is nowhere near enough to pay $10/company given this. A single $10/company for our main company we could swing, but otherwise it's just not at all feasible. :/

Embedded presentations solve one problem for us.. but it's not a big enough problem that I think any of our customers will want to foot that $10/mo.

Absence of more sophisticated file structure eventually came back and bit our asses. I remember it was officially recommended to use sub-companies to keep presentations organized... now what ))) I know this was not intended, but sure it looks like a trap now LOL. While it is not complicated for us to move things aground again, but I cannot even imagine the pain for people with tens or hundreds of active presentations in various sub-companies...

I think we were doing it all wrong from the beginning. Now, most people have their main company where they mess around with presentation prototypes and move them later to sub-companies when the final version of presentation is ready. I figured, it would actually be more helpful other way around - move ready presentations from sub-companies to the main 'publishing' company.

Wendi and Darius are onto something here...I'm trying to figure out how best to handle my existing embedded presentation gadgets and finding the idea of 1 dedicated embedded presentation sub-company controlling 12 different customer's displays more feasible than paying $1,200/year for those 12 different sub-company's. Based on the original Sub-Company model that Darius mentions above, splitting up by Sub-Company's was never necessary, but was recommended and helped keep things organized...this was long before the Rise Store Concept had existed...

Rise Vision, you do a great service for everyone here and ask very little in return, so this isn't any type of deal breaker. However, I think the cost model could use some work.

    Thank you,

    Good day ,

We are still using the classic editor, so basically we should have 1 year  free subscription, and that was the case until today, were all of our embedded presentations stopped working.  any thoughts?

    Thanks

    Hello Abdo,

Thanks for letting us know. We recently released a new version of the Rise Player which contained a defect. This has since been corrected and Embedded Presentations should work without issue. If you are still having trouble with Embedded Presentations please contact support@risevision.com so myself or our team can investigate and resolve this for you.

    Cheers,

I was disappointed to see that the embedded presentations were going away.  As I was told that using the embedded presentations was not a preferred way of using risevision I changed my whole approach and re-wrote my presentations.  Now it is a premium service?  I do wish that my company could be grandfathered in at no monthly charge as a thank you for continued business.  Is that something that has been considered?

I did, however, just look at "adding" an embedded presentation and it stated that my trial license had expired.  I don't think I have received the 1 year free use of this premium portion from risevision as you have just announced it, correct?

Please take a look at my account and let me know if I am wrong and please consider the grandfathering in for past accounts.  I sing praises of RiseVision and am even going to lead a session at an upcoming Technology Leaders conference session about using digital signage to share your message, specifically highlighting doing it with RiseVision.

    Hello Greg,

When we launched Embedded Presentations, everyone who was using it received 1 year of it as a "trial". After the trial, a subscription to the feature would be required. If you were not using Embedded Presentations during this time of launch, the product would be a paid/premium product for you. We certainly appreciate your praise of Rise Vision and our products however I am unable to grandfather your account in at this time.

Please let us know if you have any further questions, feedback, concerns. We're happy to help!

    Cheers!
