Just bought a new Intel NUC (64 bit Celeron) from RV preloaded with the software (64 bit Ubuntu with RiseVision app). I started it, ran the installer script and put in my Display ID. Worked fine. Came up in my RiseVison control panel. I click 'Display' to look at my display and media player, it says under 'Player Version', 'Rise Player Unsupported - Upgrade' and wants me to install the RV software to upgrade it.
I log into the NUC Ubuntu desktop, opened a browser and download the installer (Ubuntu 16.04 LTS 64-bit) and ran the script in command line. I run this command: chmod +x installer-lnx-64.sh ./installer-lnx-64.sh I assume there is a space between ...64.sh and ./inststaller-lnx... ? ./installer-lnx-64.sh does not seem to be a valid directory.
My question is...how do I update my RV software on my media player and am I running this command correctly? If RV software is already installed does it install over itself? Does the command line shell give you a acknowledgement that your software installed worked. I would lilke to get this fixed because I can not communicate with my media player via the RV cms.
Found this article and tried what it said to do, but no luck. - Thanks.
