    Hi Laurie,

You can try adding the --skip-countdown parameter in addition to --unattended. Please keep in mind though that we don't officially support this flag, so you use it at your own risk.

    Thx.

Could you share the list of all parameters which "start.sh" bash script can forward to executable binary called "installer".

    Works great. Thanks.

Edit: actually, I can see the "Rise Player will start in 10 seconds" briefly, but definitely an improvement

    Michael,

You can try adding the --skip-countdown to the shortcut in the start menu. Please keep in mind though that we don't officially support this flag, so you use it at your own risk.

    Hello Michael,

Thanks for your reply. With Ubuntu, since it's Linux, there is no Start Menu. To add this command to your existing setup, you would need to open the Terminal (an app you can find by clicking the Ubuntu icon in the Dock), and typing:

    gedit .config/autostart/rvplayer.desktop

You can then add this command on Line 6 of that document.  Once done, close gedit and save your changes.

Please note, this is likely to be removed when your app updates or if we modify the player in the future. It is not an option we support and can break at any moment.

If you have any additional questions, let us know!

    Michael,

Can you try sudo gedit .config/autostart/rvplayer.desktop and see if that works? Also, can you confirm that you are doing this as the user that the Rise Vision Player currently runs as?

    Hi Michael,

Commands like sudo are integrated into the Linux OS itself, every distribution uses this command. :) It sounds like gedit may not be installed. On the machine running Ubuntu, please run the following:

    sudo apt-get install gedit

    Then run:  sudo gedit .config/autostart/rvplayer.desktop

If you have any error, please let us know and if possible, attach a screen shot!
