    Hello Jeff!

I'm not aware of any recent changes to touchscreen functionality. Please submit a support request via email to support@risevision.com and we'll be happy to look into it. In your support request, please include your account email. Thanks!

Jeff, I would say you need to check the drivers first. If you were using Dell touchscreen drivers, then see if you can update them or maybe some settings have changed for some reason. Windows 7 OS is bad for touchscreen functionality. Upgrading to Windows 10 would be highly recommended.

Also, I am very curious too if RV has something to do with that, but for the different reasons. In general, zooming is not wanted in digital signage. I was struggling with it initially, but then found a way to disable zooming with display's software. I do not think RV has disabled zooming for their player, but if they did, I wonder what else they have changed for touchscreen functionality.

Actually, the display started working again.

There are no drivers to install; connect the USB3 cable to the PC and it's off and running.

I want touch screen for my application, and the zoom feature is way cool to focus on part of the presentation.

I think what happened was that I had the monitor and PC stored in my truck in the garage for a couple of nights before taking out to give a demo. I went to zoom and - nothing. I took the display home and futzed with it one evening - still nothing.  Went to piddle with it the next day, and low and behold it worked fine.

I wrote it off to needing to be in a temp controlled environment. Not very cold in South Carolina, but evidently the Dell monitor thought so.

Rise Vision folks, please don't take out touch screen capabilities from the software; this is too cool a feature to lose.

Merry Christmas all, and to all a good night.

    Hi Jeff,

I'm glad to hear that you figured it out. We aren't planning on removing our touchscreen functionality for Rise Player. I agree that it's a good feature!

    Happy Holidays!
