    Hi!

Looking at the first picture of your top command I can see that there is a 71% i/o wait which is definitely causing the high load. A load average of 9 is extremely high for a raspberry pi but it's not the CPU or the ram, it's actually caused by your storage. i/o wait is when the machine is waiting for i/o to write (save a file, move some data etc) before it can continue the next cpu/ram  actions.

In this case I would recommend getting a high speed micro SD card if you haven't already. On the other hand, raspberry pi's aren't super powerful so some large presentations (especially videos) really bog them down. So as long as you don't have a large/demanding presentation I'm sure a high speed micro sd card will fix this issue!

I did question the SD Card however firstly the SD card is what is provided by most raspberry pi sellers with the NOOBS image on it. The SD Card has the raspberry pi logo and all on it, however I dont know how much I would actually trust it.

Secondly, is the large i/o wait caused because of the all the SWAP memory being used? I could imagine this would take a toll on the SD card.

Either way I shall try a known decent branded SD card.

Tried a brand new class 10 SD card and a fresh install & still have the same result. We are only running a web page sliding through some pictures. Nothing demanding.

    Hi there!

I've reached out to you in a Support Ticket to get some further information so we can investigate this Presentation and see if we can replicate the issue you're having.

    Thanks!
