    Hi Darius,

The change to Basic Plan is a result of our new pricing. I just did a bit of digging and it looks like there was an error in our email system resulting in a few emails not being sent. I can confirm an email was not sent to you.

The email explained that we have simplified our pricing, and have introduced 3 different plans: Basic, Advanced, and Enterprise (more details).

If you had Storage or Template Library we have upgraded you to our Basic Plan, which comes with the following features:

I apologize for the missed email and thank you for posting, we will be following up with the other users that were missed.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss over the phone please let me know, I am happy to speak with you.

Seriously, this is not funny. I just checked our Store account and I see 'Basic Plan' subscription, which nobody asked for, but I cannot see our 'Storage' subscription anymore. I see that Basic Plan includes 'Unlimited Storage.' So, I guess it is all the same for us + we get a couple of 'Pro Players' and Templates.' Please confirm if this is the case. It also would be great to learn about the upcoming changes as such before they happen.

    Hi Darius,

Of course. Anytime you want to change your plans, upgrade or downgrade, you can do so by clicking the "Change Plan" button in the top right corner when signed in.

If our previous plan was $10 a month and this new basic plan shows pricing is $20 are we grandfathered in to the old $10 pricing still?

When we moved users to our monthly basic plan, we delayed the price change for 3 months to give our customers time to adjust. The exact date would have been sent to the accounts store purchaser. This date is whenever your subscription bills, after May 15th.

Ex. If your subscription bills on the 22nd of each month, then your price will increase May 22nd.

    Thanks,

    Spencer

I feel it is fair for RV to want earn more than less. However, I do not think users got enough back from them for being forcibly moved into 100% more expensive plan (considering one was paying only for storage). Now, you cannot just buy storage anymore and in order to keep all of your presentations further functional, one must sign up for the 'plan.' And that is 'a jack move,' quite frankly... Still, we decided to play along because it just makes sense for us. But I want to say that we do not get ANY tangible advantage from being on a more expensive plan now. In a long term we are still hoping to see 'white label' at some point. Today I wish I could use those 2 Pro licenses fro our sub-company displays. As advised by RV and based on the model of this digital signage platform, we are using sub-companies for organizational reasons. We have 0 important displays under our main company, only test displays and our internal info-board. There is no reasons for us to use those Pro licenses on them. So please, could you allow us to use Pro licenses on any display under our main company? Further, can those who decided to move all of their files from RV Storage some place else in order to stay FREE be assured that in the future they will not have to move back because support for other storage locations is dropped?

The increase in price was necessary to continue serving our customers. Moving storage users to our basic plan was our way of increasing the value by bundling the services they use most.

The professional players will continue to have features added based on what the majority of our customers demand. As per your suggestion to allow pro licenses in sub-companies, I recognize this is important for you, and it will certainly be taken into consideration as we continue to improve our product.

If you would ever like to have a conversation regarding pricing, please let me know. I am happy to talk with you anytime.

    Thanks,
    Spencer
