Neil, something must have gone wrong in Windows. You need to remove the login screen. Follow these NETPLWIZ instructions: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee872306.aspx

Removing the login screen is not the solution.  That has to be there.  Something with the new player version is causing the restart or something.

Is the player set to reboot daily? (by default it is set to 2:00 AM).

    Neil,

Darius is right, I would check to see if the Display is set to reboot automatically, and see if removing that will stop the Display from restarting.

However for Windows Displays, we typically recommend rebooting every 24 hours, and we have for several years now :). It just makes for a more reliable Display while content is running.

The Netplwiz instructions are very handy for getting Windows to automatically login as the user that the Rise Vision Player runs under, so you may want to check that out to get it to log in automatically.

Let us know know you make out!

I also had the same issue as others mentioned the cause of the issue is the daily reboot. When I turned it off, the display worked fine until windows update caused an unexpected reboot again.

    Ah Windows Update...always a pain :)

Silvio, is the error one where it sits on a screen informing you that it cannot log you into the main account, and has created a temporary account for you?

If so, please let me know, and I can reach out to you in a Support ticket to get access to to that Display to do some further investigation.

I look forward to hearing from you!
