Hello, maybe when the new ChromeOs player is released, you may consider this: https://shop.promevo.com/index.php/aopen-chromebase-91-wtg00-0010-gun-metal-grey-touchscreen-2273.html

I have been able to do this with a Windows tablet.  I had an old Fujitsu windows tablet which I installed Rise on and it worked.  I had set it up as a proof of concept in hopes to get funding to deploy others around our campus for room calendaring.  I set up the presentation that it was playing to pull the information from Google Calendars using the Google Calendar Widget.  Here is an example of what I created.

    Rise Room Calendar

It does appear that I use some custom layouts in this.  It was stable and reliable, I had it on 24/7 for at least 6 months in my office showing this presentation until I needed to use that tablet for something else.

I just created a regular presentation using the standard Google Calendar widgets within Rise Vision but I used some custom layouts for those widgets.  I don't remember where I got the code for those layouts but here is a link to the ones I use.

    Custom Layout code

You can find the option for custom layouts at the bottom of the Google Calendar Settings window where there is a checkbox for 'Use Default Layout', uncheck the box and it will allow you to enter a url.

In the Zip file I have linked here you will find the CSS and JS files as well as the HTML files which control the layout of the calendar items.

I hope this helps, there may be a better way to code the Layouts but this is what I found years ago and it just works.

Thanks David...something has changed with RiseVision...this Google Calender widget runs only on Licensed Display and not on the free player type :(

Yes, that is a change they are going to be making soon.  I've not explored how to create a room display pulling data from Google calendars without using their Widget yet.

I have created a display at my home that displays Google Calendars but it does not display like it does on the tablet, it shows more like a month or week of events and it has been done entirely in code, JS, CSS, HTML.  I believe I had to go through the Google Console and and enable some stuff to get this to work though. (It's been a really long time since I did that)
