    Hi Neil,

We don't put any presentations that you create behind a pay wall. Any time a presentation is saved it also has the option to revert to a previous version before it's published. Once a presentation is published all the old changes are lost, though.

There is no monthly fee to use our editor and create presentations. I have created a ticket for you so we can help get this solved. We can continue through the ticket.

Well I am not sure it is hitting a paywall.  I went to change a placeholder to a different type and all the place holders disappeared.  They were a google sheet, weather widget, and web page with it going to a google slide show.  So when I went to save then publish the place holders went away and it said they were now licensed widgets.

    Hi Neil,

I looked over this with our developers to make sure we weren't experiencing some bugs and it looks like a few of the HTML tags got deleted in the HTML editor (when you click HTML in the bottom left corner). Once they were deleted the changes didn't take effect until it was saved due to the way our HTML editor works. This was likely an accident but we can confirm from our end that we don't have a bug. Please let us know if you continue to see this issue!

As for the "licensed display" notification you are seeing, this now shows on all widgets that require licensed displays. We have made some changes to the way we handle billing and some of our widgets are going to slowly move toward licensed displays. The red 'licensed display' is a notification that this particular widget will require licensed displays moving forward. We have not made this change yet, and don't have a specific date on when this will change. We will be sure to give everyone ample time before this change is put in place -- at least 6 months. You can see information on getting licensed displays here:

This is disappointing to hear, we are using some of the widgets and features which are moving to a paid tier.  The attractiveness of the product was that those that needed the extra features would purchase them and those who had less complicated needs were happy with the free offerings, for a School Board it made the product stand out from the other offerings and was the reason for recommending the product.

    Hello Tech Services Dept,

Our decision to move previously free features to paid features was not one made lightly - but it was one that was deemed necessary for us to continue moving forward and growing as a company. Our free features have always put us in a unique position, but having such a diverse array of free features has ended up costing us development time and money without providing added features for a large majority of our paying users.

I hope you understand that by moving these widgets to a paid tier, we will be able add more value to our product, especially for those who want more.

We are definitely open to any suggestions or critique our users may have about this decision and we encourage making your opinion heard.

Not that I am a fan of RV now moving previously free stuff to a paid tier, but that is understandable. And after what Colby just explained I even support it as long as HTML widget stays free because then anyone can make anything they want/can and keep players running for free further. You can not expect people to work for you for free all the time.
