Eric, there is a possibility to launch external Windows applications from within the RV presentation. It can be done with a simple HTML button. It can be visible or can be made invisible (clear PNG) somewhere in the corner fo your presentation. Ideally(?), you should use a touchscreen for that, but a simple air-mouse, wireless mouse or a keyboard with touchpad should do the trick too. Here is more about that: https://help.risevision.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360012405863-Start-PC-Apps-from-Rise-Vision-presentation

Thanks Darius but I think ideally I'd like to do it without using a different video player. Is there a way you can think of to use a keypress locally at the player machine to take over the screen and play a video file that was placed into a layer in the presentation? Then it could be managed from within rise vision which would be ideal.

Eric, I am sorry I should have said that the first time... You need a multi-page presentation. It is quite easy to implement even using your existing presentation: a click of a button opens another page or a pop-up with a video in it, video plays and then the presentation resets to the main page or the pop up goes away.
