I am having the same issue as well.  It does work to select Google Drive and move all of your photos to a Google Drive folder.  That's the workaround that I found.  If that is time efficient for you, then that's a viable option.  For me however, I am stuck waiting on a resolution as it would take a couple days to fix all of my displays.

    Hi Guys,

Thanks for reporting this issue. We have looked into this and it looks like the creator of the photo feed widget (Computer Aid) has noticed this as well! They are currently working on getting it fixed. If you have any questions on the specific timeline you can contact them at rvsupport@compaid.com to see when it will be available.

In the mean time as a workaround you can use our image widget and select a 'folder of images' to do show images while this fix is being applied. Thank you for your patience!

    Hi Tyler,

The email you linked was not found.  Could it be @compaid.com instead?

    Thank you!

Anyone have an update on this issue?  We are feeling a little hung out to dry and will need to start moving images if this isn't going to work very soon.

Rise Vision support provided that the email address 'rvsupport@compaid.com'

It is working now as of around three hours ago.  You need to give permission to Computer Aid again to get your Albums to show up.  It doesn't automatically detect your Albums.

Is anyone else having this problem again?  I've reauthenticated our account multiple times, I've tried deleting the widget and adding it again, I've given permission to Computer Aid from Google, and I still can't get any albums to show up for me to select.

Esm, It broke again.  It was working a couple days ago, but then stopped yesterday.  Rise Vision is in contact with Computer Aid again.  Hopefully this time it will be fixed for good.

We are not, thank goodness.  Last time around I found that my older Google accounts that hosted the albums would not work no matter what I tried whereas newer Google accounts had no issue with the updated widget.  So I migrated the albums to new Google accounts and they have worked since.

Patrick, that email does not work.  It comes back as undeliverable.

The Photo Feed widget is still not working.  Hopefully they can fix it soon.  Thanks.

So sorry about that, you're right!  I copied it from earlier in the thread, and didn't think to make sure it was the right one.

The correct email address is here: rvsupport@compaid.com.

I'll edit it into the previous post too, just to make sure I don't mislead anyone else.

    Thanks for pointing it out!

    Cheers,

    Patrick

    Good evening folks,

The developers of the Photo Feed widget have recommended using Google Drive as a workaround, at least until the issues with the Google Photos API are resolved.

For what it's worth, Google Drive has an advantage over Google Photos as well in that it allows multiple users to contribute to the same folder.

To get it working, just upload a folder of images to Google Drive, then right-click on the folder and choose "Share".  Set the share permissions to "Public - Anyone on the web can view".  In the Photo Feed widget, select Google Drive as the service, select the folder you'd like to show, and make sure to select a scaling option.

Please give it a try and let me know if you run into any issues!  In the meantime, we are still working on getting the Google Photos API issues sorted.

    Cheers,

    Patrick
