Well, you gonna have to go through scheduling either way. As you said, one way is to take care of that in Schedules, or, and this is my preferred way, I put a full-screen placeholder on top of everything and use that for applications like you described. For example, our front desk display runs the main content 27/4, but this 'special' placeholder has all the content (videos) for scheduled special occasions. And today it was playing special Valentines's day video. If I have more then one 'special' content, and I what a pause between them, then I insert the HTML Widget in between and tell it to play X amount of time. It is really pretty simple setup.

don't know HTML there has to be a simpler way. Also when you insert a Place holder it puts it at the bottom of the list and you can't move it to the top

Jim, this is like the simplest way there is. And you do not need HTML knowledge for that. I use an EMPTY instance of the HTML Widget - just insert the widget and the only adjustment you do is duration/time/date; there is no need to modify HTML. For that purpose, you can use TEXT or IMAGE widgets or smth else.

I do not understand what do you mean by list? What list you have in mind?

As I said, insert the NEW full-screen placeholder and assign it the HIGHEST Z-Order Value (this part I forgot to mention). If you are not sure what the highest number is, then assign it some ridiculous value such as '100' or '1000000'. Just make sure that any placeholders you add later have a lower Z-order value.

Now when you have that, you can start building your 'Special List' of Widgets in that Placeholder. Insert a Widget and edit the widgets schedule to when you want it to appear and for how long. If you have 2 or more and you want a break of some length between them, only then you insert and time 'dummy' widgets (such as empty HTML, or TEXT). If you do not need breaks, then do not do that - it is not necessary.

I following up to a point. The Z order I think answered the list question. I can find the HTML Widget but it has some code in it you said a  EMPTY instance do I remove that code thats in there? and then what do I put in its place. Its seems i do need a modicum of HTML knowledge.

Then after this hurdle do I put in the image of the ad wanted?

Jim, you just insert HTML Widget and leave it as it is, no need to modify HTML. The only thing you modify is the duration/time/schedule: Select Widget > Click the little tab on the right with 10s indicator. This is where you time your widgets in that placeholder.
