This article shows you how to use the Rise Vision LED Ticker Software to add and manage content for LED tickers installed before February 2021. These tickers are managed at ticker.risedisplay.com.
Requirements
- A free Google account for login. Create one at google.com.
- An active internet connection from the ticker to Rise Vision servers. Check the Network Requirements.
Instructions
1. Log in
- Go to ticker.risedisplay.com.
- Click Login.
- Select Login with Google and enter your credentials.
- Click Allow to grant access to your Google account.
2. Select your ticker
- After logging in, any tickers you have access to will appear in a list.
- If no tickers are listed, ensure you’re using the correct Google account or contact support@risevision.com.
- Click the cog icon next to the ticker to open settings. Here you can manage access, scroll speed, brightness, and power save settings.
- Click the ticker name to open its playlist and change the content shown on the ticker.
3. Manage the playlist
- Content is organized into a playlist and displayed as images scrolling top to bottom.
- Use the up/down arrows to reorder items or click the trash icon to delete.
- Click the content type icon to add new content.
4. Add ticker content
- Click a content icon at the top of the playlist (e.g., Text, Countdown, Financial, etc.).
- Enter a name in the first field to label your content item.
- (Optional) Use the Schedule option to define when the item will display.
- Complete the remaining fields, which vary based on content type. The Financian data content is a bit more complex, and elaborated in greater detail below.
- Click the back arrow in the top-left corner to return to the playlist. Changes are saved automatically.
5. Add financial data content
- Click the Financial icon to create a new playlist item.
- Wait for the list to load (by default, NASDAQ 100 appears).
- To remove NASDAQ 100, click the trash icon.
- Rename the list (e.g., “Equities” or “Commodities”) by clicking the first field.
- Click Add Instrument to open the symbol selector.
- Search by symbol or name and press Enter.
- Click a symbol to add it to your list. The stock data comes from the following exchanges:
- NASDAQ consolidated (ending in O),
- NASDAQ Stock Market (ending in OQ),
- NYSE (ending in N),
- Toronto Exchange (ending in TO),
- Fro example, AAPL.O is for Apple on NASDAQ.
- Repeat to add multiple symbols. Click Back to save and return.
- To add other types of financial data, repeat the steps using a new financial list.
Behavior Notes
- Changes to the playlist may take a few minutes to appear on the ticker, depending on the content scroll cycle.
- Do not mix incompatible financial data types in the same playlist item to avoid errors like “INCORRECT_TYPE.”
- Each playlist item is rendered as an image. Interrupting the scroll mid-cycle is not supported.
