What you need
In addition to the tools listed on the service request, you’ll need the following Ticker components
- Ticker module
Step 1: Confirm the module to be replaced
Confirm with site contact where they are seeing the defect, this is the module that we will be replacing.
Step 2: Turn power off
Disconnect power when servicing. Power can be turned off at the electrical breaker, unplugging the Ticker power cord from the back or by toggling the power switch located on the back of the ticker cabinet behind the first module as you are facing the ticker.
Step 3: Remove the module
Each LED module is secured to the Ticker Cabinet with 6 philips head screws - three on the top, three on the bottom.
Remove the screws from the first LED module. DO NOT use an oversized screw driver as it could slip from the screw and damage the LEDs. With the screws removed, gently pull the LED module forward until you see the connections. Disconnect the CAT5 cables, then the power cable. Carefully, set the module aside on a secure surface.
Step 4: Replace with new module
Plug the power and ethernet cables into the new module.
Place the new module onto the Ticker, and secure it with its six screws.
Step 5: Turn power On
Restore power
Step 6: Verify content
Content should resume shortly after restoring power.
