Setup Rise Vision on a Promethean ActivPanel 9

This article shows you how to install and configure Rise Player on a Promethean ActivPanel AP9 using the Promethean Mobile Device Management (MDM) system. 

Requirements

• A Rise Vision company with an available license
• A Promethean ActivPanel 9 device
• Access to one.prometheanworld.com

Instructions

1. Sign in to your Promethean at https://one.prometheanworld.com/
2. Go to Admin Tools > Applications.
3. Select Rise Vision. If you do not see Rise Vision, email risevision@prometheanworld.com and ask Promethean to add it to your account. 

4. Go to the Devices section and click Edit Devices and select the devices you want to install Rise Player on.

Once Rise Player is installed, update the permissions for Rise Player to ensure CAP Alerts and other emergency notifications show properly:

1. Allow Rise Player to display over other apps
   1. On the device, open Settings.
   2. Go to Apps > Rise Player.
   3. Tap Display over other apps.
   4. Enable the permission.
2. Disable sign-in overlay
   1. Tap the bottom of the screen of the device to open the bottom menu.
   2. Navigate to Applications > Settings > Apps.
   3. Turn off the setting: Show Promethean Welcome Screen at start up and sign out.

Behavior Notes

The following features are not supported on the AP9 due to hardware limitations:

• Display Control
• Auto Restart
