Schedule Content on Your Display

Learn how to control what content appears on your Displays using Schedules in Rise Vision. 

Instructions

1. Create a Schedule

  1. Log in to your Rise Vision account.
  2. Click Schedules from the menu on the side.
  3. Click Add Schedule.

2. Configure Distribution

Use Distribution settings to control which Displays are assigned to the Schedule. 

  1. To show on all your Displays, click the Show on all Displays toggle.
  2. To show on a subset of Displays, click No Displays Selected
  3. Click Save once your are done. 

3. Add Content to Playlist

Use Playlist to configure the content that will be shown on your Displays

  1. Click Add Playlist Item then Presentation
  2. A list of Presentations in your account will be shown.  
  3. Click the checkbox next to one or more Presentations you want to add to the Playlist
  4. Then click the Add Selected button
  5. The Presentation will be added to your Playlist
  6. Click Save once you are done.

Behavior Notes

  • A Display will show a black screen if there is no content scheduled to show.
  • Presentations will be shown in the order shown in your Playlist.
  • When you save a Schedule, changes will automatically show on all Displays assigned to it. 

FAQ

Q: Can I assign multiple schedules to a single display?
A: No, each display can follow only one schedule at a time. To display different content at specific times, adjust the timeline within a single schedule or use Override schedules.

Q: What happens if I schedule presentations with overlapping timelines?
A: Content will play in the order listed in the playlist. If multiple items are scheduled for the same time, they will play sequentially based on their order.

Q: How do I include common content across all displays?
A: Use an Override Include schedule to add common content that plays alongside existing schedules. Refer to the article: How do I add common content to all displays in my network?
