This article helps you fix presentations that appear too big or too small on your screen. This usually happens when the presentation’s size doesn't match your display’s resolution.
Check and Adjust the Display Scale Setting
In most cases, this issue is easily resolved by turning on the Scale Content to Fit setting. To enable this option:
- Sign in to Rise Vision.
- Go to Displays and select your display.
- From the right-hand menu, go to General.
- Toggle Scale Content to Fit to On.
This setting helps your content resize automatically for common 16:9 resolutions.
Confirm Your Display Resolution
Common 16:9 resolutions include:
- 1280x720
- 1360x768
- 1366x768
- 1920x1080
- 3840x2160
If your display uses one of these resolutions, your content should scale correctly.
Change the Display Resolution (if needed)
If your display resolution is not listed above:
- Connect a mouse and keyboard or use a paired remote to close the Rise Vision Player Application. Reminder to close the application: Ctrl+Shift+Q (Windows/Linux/Raspbian), CTRL+ALT+S upon reboot (ChromeOS) or using the remote's Home button (Android)
- In the media player’s operating system, go to the Display Settings.
- Set the resolution to one of the supported 16:9 options above.
- Restart Rise Player.
Fix Legacy Template Sizing Issues
If your presentation was built using Rise Vision’s Legacy blank template, it may not match modern 16:9 resolutions.
To verify this resolution size:
- Select the ellipse beside the presentation name and select settings
- The "Resolution" section will show the current resolution
Behavior Notes
- The Legacy template is often built for custom resolutions that do not automatically scale between display resolutions.
- The Scale Content to Fit setting works only for displays using standard 16:9 resolutions.
