This guide explains how to install Rise Player on BrightSign Series 5 or higher devices using one of three setup methods: BSN Cloud, the BrightSign web console, or a physical SD card.
Requirements
- BrightSign Series 5 or higher
- Access to BrightSign's BSN Cloud or local device network
Instructions
Method 1: Set up using BSN Cloud MDM
- Sign in to your BSN Cloud account and navigate to the Network tab.
- Select Setup Library and choose New Player Setup or use an existing setup.
- Under the Partner App dropdown, select Rise Vision.
- Click Save.
- Once installed, Rise Player will automatically start.
Method 2: Set up using the BrightSign web console
- Download the
autorun.BRSfile for Rise Player. - Power on the BrightSign device and note the IP address shown on screen.
- Open a web browser and enter the device’s IP address to access the web console.
- Click the SD Card tab.
- Click the Browse button, select the
autorun.BRSfile, then click Upload Files. - Reboot the device to complete the setup.
Method 3: Set up using a physical SD card
- Download the
autorun.BRSfile for Rise Player. - Insert the SD card into your computer and copy the
autorun.BRSfile onto it. - Eject the SD card and insert it into the BrightSign device.
- Power on or reboot the device to complete the setup.
Behavior Notes
- Use
autorun.zipfor BSN Cloud installs andautorun.BRSfor local or SD card installs. - When using BSN Cloud to setup Rise Player, you can optionally choose to install Rise Player by selecting the App URL option and entering:
https://storage.googleapis.com/install-versions.risevision.com/brightsign/autorun.zip - Screenshots, reboot, auto-update, and display control features are fully supported on BrightSign.
