Important NoticeRise Vision recommends the Amazon Signage Stick instead of Amazon Fire Stick or Fire TVs due to its affordability, performance, reliability, and built-in Mobile Device Management (MDM) capabilities. The MDM feature allows users to easily manage and control their displays remotely, ensuring device and application updates. The Amazon Signage Stick is purpose-built for digital signage and integrates directly with Rise Vision. The Amazon Signage Stick is currently only available in the United States. You can purchase it here. For alternative media player recommendations, please check out our hardware list here. With the release of the new Amazon Signage Stick, Amazon Fire Sticks should not be used for digital signage moving forward. |

How do I get my Fire Stick that runs Fire OS 8 to auto-launch Rise Vision?
Changes by Amazon to Fire OS 8 have disabled every apps' ability to auto-launch, including that of Rise Vision. This will avoid needing to manually launch Rise Vision each day.- To turn off the Restart Daily:
- Log in at RiseVision.com.
- Go to the "Displays" tab.
- Click on the display's name to open its settings.
- Scroll down on the left until "Restart Daily" is reached.
- Toggle the "Restart Daily" setting off and save the changes by selecting the "Save" button.
- If you require the auto-launch feature to function and are comfortable using the Developer Tools, you can follow this article to reprogram the Fire TV Stick to enable auto-launching instead of following the above "Restart Daily" disabling procedure.

How do I prevent my Fire Stick from sleeping when I turn off the TV or from inactivity?
By default, Fire OS sleeps your Fire Stick and TV on a 4-hour timer, or any time the TV is powered off, causing Rise Vision Player to close. If you don't want this to happen,
- Turn off CEC on your Fire Stick in Settings > Display & Audio > Display Settings > CEC and
- Turn off "Still Watching" in Settings > Preferences > Data Usage Monitoring > Still
Watching

How do I set up Fire Sticks at scale?
If you are setting up many Fire Sticks in your organization, first create a dedicated Amazon account for managing them. You can use Amazon’s Frustration-Free Setup feature to set up the devices without needing to re-enter WiFi details.
Note that there seems to be a limit of 200 fire sticks per Amazon account, so if you're scaling past that you may need to manage multiple accounts.

How do I prevent unauthorized use of the Fire TV Stick?
To make sure only authorized users can use a remote to make changes to your device, you should enable Parental Controls and set a PIN. On your Fire Stick, go to Settings > Preferences > Parental Controls. Enable Parental Controls, set your pin, and turn on all the options.
A remote can still be used to close Rise Vision Player, but it won't be possible to do anything else without the PIN.
