This article shows you can activate the Rise Vision Media Player using a USB flash drive. This saves time when setting up multiple Displays.
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare USB thumb drive
- On your computer, go to risevision.com/bulk-activation and sign in
- Fill in the Network & Location Information fields:
- Network Name (SSID): The name of your wireless network.
- Wi-Fi password: The password to connect to your network.
- Time zone: The location where the Displays will be installed.

Account activation option:
- Select "Yes" if you want Displays to be created in your company automatically.
- Select "No" if you want to manually create Displays in your company
- Click Generate Configuration File.
- A file named risevision.ini will download to your computer.
- Plug the USB flash drive included with your Rise Vision Media Player in to your computer.
- Transfer the risevision.ini to the root of the USB flash drive, then eject it from your computer.
Step 2: Activate each Media Player
- Connect the Rise Vision Media Player to your TV and turn it on
- Wait for the boot up to complete and you see the Rise Player activation message.
- Insert the USB flash drive into one of the black USB ports on the Media Player (not the Blue OTG port).
- The configuration will run automatically and a confirmation message will be shown once complete.
- You can now remove the USB flash drive from the Rise Vision Media Player
- Depending on your activation choice:
- If you selected “Yes, do everything automatically”, the Display will activate and show the default Schedule (if set).
- If you selected “No” , an code will be shown with instructions on how to activate your display
Behavior Notes
- For best results, do your first setup on a desk monitor before moving devices to their final locations.
- Delete the risevision.ini file from both your computer and USB flash drive after use
- Hidden WiFi network are not supported at this time.
- If you do not have the USB flash drive that was included with the Rise Vision Media Player, you can use any other USB drive that is formatted as FAT32 or exFAT
