If your network requires devices to use a specific Network Time Protocol (NTP) server, the Rise Vision Support team can configure this for your Rise Vision Media Player (DN74 & DN76). Keeping your player synced with the correct time helps ensure your Schedules and Presentations start and stop at the right time.
How To Request an NTP Server Configuration
To set up an NTP server for your device, send an email to support@risevision.com with the following information:
- The NTP server address you want the device to use (for example: time.google.com or your organization’s internal NTP server)
- The device Serial ID number
- Optional: The device name from your Displays list in Rise Vision
Once the request is received, the Rise Vision Support team will apply the configuration and let you know if a restart of the Rise Vision Media Player is required.
Behavior Notes
- NTP (Network Time Protocol) keeps your Rise Vision Media Player synchronized with a reliable time source.
- If the device time is incorrect, scheduled content may play at the wrong time.
- Some organizations require devices to use an internal NTP server due to firewall or security policies.
- If you're unsure of your NTP server address, your IT team can usually provide it.
