Set Up a 43” or 55” Avocor R-Series Display

The Avocor R-Series Display is an all-in-one commercial-grade digital signage solution that includes a built-in media player. It supports Rise Vision digital signage, screen sharing, and emergency alerts—making it ideal for education and business environments.

Requirements

  • Avocor R-Series Display (43” or 55”)
  • Internet connection (WiFi or Ethernet)
  • AAA batteries for remote
  • Philips head screwdriver (and drill if wall-mounting)
  • Rise Vision account

Instructions

Physical setup

  1. You may wish to set up the display flat on a table before mounting. This makes software setup easier.
  2. Mount the display:
    • Leg-mounted: Use a Philips screwdriver to attach the legs to the base. Make sure each leg goes on the correct side (left/right).
    • Wall-mounted: Use the included paper installation manual. A screwdriver and drill are required.
  3. If using Ethernet, plug the cable into the port on the back of the display.
  4. Connect the power cable. The display will turn on automatically and begin the Avocor software setup.

On-screen setup

  1. Insert AAA batteries into the remote control. Use the remote to continue setup. Press the back button anytime to return to the previous screen.
  2. Select your language: English (United States), then choose Next.
  3. Choose your network:
    • Ethernet: If connected, it should show “Connected.” Select Skip.
    • WiFi: Turn WiFi on, select your network, enter the password using the on-screen keyboard, and click Next.
  4. Select your time zone.
  5. When you see “Setup Complete,” click Finish. This completes basic setup, but your display still needs to be activated.

Activate your display

  1. The Rise Vision Player will launch automatically. If a Chromecast warning appears, click Continue.
  2. The Activation screen will appear. Follow these steps:
    1. On a computer or phone, go to risevision.com/activate.
    2. Log into your Rise Vision account.
    3. Name your display.
    4. Enter the 5-character activation code shown on the display screen.
    5. Click Save.

Additional Controls

  • Use the remote’s power button to turn the display on or off.
  • To change internet or time settings later, press the Home button and navigate to the settings menu.
  • Adjust volume with the remote or within each Rise Vision presentation that uses video or YouTube content.
