Use Moderator Mode
Moderator Mode gives you more control over who can share to a display. As a moderator, you can invite or remove participants and also share your own screen. This is advantageous when your audience might not always use the screen sharing feature responsibly.
- Make sure the user who wants to be a moderator has the the correct Screen Share moderator privilege in their user role. Check this by going in Settings, Company Users, and then selecting the User.
- When Screen Sharing is already enabled on a display, you can automatically switch the unit to a moderated mode by going to the Screen Share explore tab in your account and choose the display.
-
The selected display will stop showing any content. If Allows others to join is toggled on, the display shows a 6-character screen share, and invites users to enter the participation queue to share their screens by going to risevision.com/join to enter that code.
- The moderator will be able to select Invite to allow a participant to share their screen. The moderator can also choose to share their own screen by selecting Share.
- Select End Session for all to end the moderated mode, allowing the display to return to showing digital signage content.
