This article explains how to update the firmware on your LG Display using a firmware file uploaded to Rise Storage. Updating firmware ensures your display runs the latest version for optimal performance and compatibility.
Instructions
- Go to the Displays page in Rise Vision.
- Find the LG Display you want to update.
- Click the three horizontal dots to the right of the display name.

Select Update Firmware from the menu.
- Paste the LG URL of the firmware when prompted. This needs to be an .epk file hosted in a location accessible by the Display.
- Go to LG Partner site and select Global then English.
- Select the "+" next to "UTILITY DOWNLOAD."
- Search for your firmware based on the model and download the .zip file.
- Host the .epk file found in the .zip with a URL.
- Select Update Firmware.
Behavior Notes
- You can send firmware updates to more than one LG display at a time using bulk actions. See Manage Displays in Bulk for instructions.
- Firmware updates only support files from LG URLs.
- Do not disconnect power or internet during the firmware update process.
- The display may restart automatically once the update is complete.
- If the update fails, verify the firmware file link is correct and accessible.
