Overview
The Display Status Report is an automated email that gives you a quick snapshot of how your displays are performing, without having to log in and check each one. Once turned on, you'll receive a report by email on a daily or weekly schedule showing how many of your displays were online, how many were offline, and the overall uptime across your account for that period.
How to turn it on
- Go to apps.risevision.com and log in to your account.
- Click Settings, then select the Company Settings tab.
- Turn on the Display Status Report toggle under the Notifications section.
- Choose how often you want to receive the report: Daily or Weekly.
- Enter your Email address in the Report Recipients area.
- Click Save.
That's it. Your first report will be sent according to the schedule you selected.
What's in the report email
Each report gives you a summary of your display fleet's health for the selected period, plus a detailed breakdown you can dig into.
Attached to the email is a CSV file with a per-display breakdown of uptime for the same period, so you can see exactly how each individual display performed rather than just the fleet-wide average.
The Display Status Report is different from Enable Display Monitoring, which sends real-time alerts when an individual display goes online or offline. The Status Report gives you a periodic summary, while Display Monitoring is for immediate, per-display notifications.
The report includes displays that belong to your company as well as any subcompanies under it.
How uptime is calculated
Uptime is measured using heartbeats sent by each display's media player. As long as a display is sending regular heartbeats, it's counted as online. If no heartbeat is received from a display for a period of time, that display is considered offline for that period. Uptime percentage is calculated based on the proportion of time each display was reporting as online during the selected period.
