Learn how to embed a Google Spreadsheet in your Rise Vision Blank Presentation using the Google Spreadsheet Widget. This lets you showcase dynamic data on your Displays.
Instructions
1. Create a Blank Presentation
- Go to Presentations and click Create.
- Choose the Blank Presentation template.
2. Add the Google Spreadsheet Widget
- In the Presentation editor, create a placeholder, click Add > Widgets.
- Select the Google Spreadsheet Widget.
- The Google Spreadsheet Settings window will open.
3. Enter your Spreadsheet Key
- Copy the part of your spreadsheet URL between /d/ and /edit.
- Example: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ABCxyz.../edit
- In this case, 1ABCxyz... is your Spreadsheet Key.
- Paste the key into the Spreadsheet Key field.
4. Select the worksheet
- Click the Select Worksheet dropdown.

5. Choose header options

If you want to use the first row as a header, check Use First Row as Header.
- Use the Header Format section to style the header.
6. Select display range
- To show the entire worksheet: Click Show Entire Sheet.

To show a specific cell range: Click Show Range and enter the desired range (e.g., A1:C5).
7. Set data refresh interval (optional)
- Generate an API Key (see this guide).
- Paste your API Key into the API Key field.
- Enter your desired refresh interval in minutes.
8. Enable scrolling (if needed)
- Choose a scrolling option:
- Continuously – scrolls all content without pausing
- By Page – pauses at each full screen of content
- Configure:
- Speed: Slow, Medium, or Fast
- Pause: Time to pause after touch or between pages
- PUD Failover: Set how long the widget stays visible before moving to the next item
9. Format your data display
- Set Row Height
- Set Odd/Even Row Colors
- Toggle Show Separators between rows/columns
10. Format spreadsheet content
- In Body Format, choose:
- Font, size, alignment, color, bold/italic/underline
- Preview styles in the Data Sample Text field
11. Format individual columns
- Under Per Column Format, select the columns to style.
- Customize each:
- Font, size, alignment, color, bold/italic/underline
- Header Text
- Column Width
12. Apply conditional formatting (optional)
- Format numeric values with color based on their value:
- Change up/down: Green for increase, red for decrease
- Positive/Negative: Green for positive, red for negative
Behavior Notes
- Formatting affects only the selected rows or columns
- Scrolling is off by default—enable it for full content visibility
- Play Until Done keeps the widget visible until all content is shown

How does Play Until Done work? When selected, the Spreadsheet Widget remains visible until all content is shown, then moves to the next item in your playlist.
