Learn how to display a PowerPoint presentation on your Rise Vision Display by uploading a file or linking it from Microsoft OneDrive. This helps you share updates and visual content efficiently.
Instructions
Option 1: Upload a PowerPoint file to a Presentation
- Create a Presentation using the "PowerPoint - Full Screen" or a Playlist template with a PowerPoint component.
- In the options list on the left, select My PowerPoint.
- To upload your file:
- Select Upload from Computer and choose your .pptx file, or
- If you have already uploaded the .pptx file to Rise Vision storage, select Select from Storage.
- Once uploaded, the file will be converted into a displayable format.
- Select how long you would like Show each page for:.
- Add a transition in the Transitions dropdown.
- Click Publish (top-right) to add it to a Schedule.
Option 2: Link a PowerPoint from Microsoft OneDrive
- Create a Presentation using the "PowerPoint - Full Screen" or a Playlist template with a PowerPoint component.
- In the options list on the left, select My PowerPoint.
- Select the option Select from Microsoft OneDrive.
- Sign in to your Microsoft account when prompted.
- Choose the PowerPoint file to link.
- Set a refresh interval (between 1–12 hours) to check for updates.
- Click Publish (top-right) to add it to a Schedule.
Behavior Notes
- PowerPoint files are automatically converted into images. Animations and videos will not be retained.
- If your file includes video or animation, convert the PowerPoint to a video before uploading.
Revoking Access to Microsoft OneDrive
Deleting a linked PowerPoint stops it from displaying, but does not revoke Rise Vision’s OneDrive access. To fully revoke access:
- Go to myapps.microsoft.com
- Find the Rise Vision app in the list.
- Click the three dots above the icon and select Manage your application.
- In the next window, click Revoke Consent.
- If an error appears, refresh the page. If Rise Vision is gone from the list, the process was successful.
