You can display live social media content from Facebook or Instagram—either post feeds or follower counts—using any Rise Vision presentation that includes a Playlist component.
Requirements
- A Facebook Profile, a Facebook Page, or Professional Instagram account.
- Pop-ups enabled in your browser (used for authentication)
Instructions
- From the Presentation tab, select the + New Presentation button. There are several options for which Presentations can be used:
- The Social Media Waterfall, Social Media Single, or Social Media Followers Presentation.
- A Presentation template that includes a Playlist component
- From the Base Components list, select the appropriate component. Depending on which Presentation you are using, it will be either:
- My Social Media Posts,
- My Followers
- The Playlist, then select Add and choose the Facebook or Instagram icons
- In the Social Feeds panel, click Add Feed +.
- Sign in using your Facebook or Instagram credentials.
- Only Professional Instagram accounts are supported.
- Facebook Profiles can show post feeds, but not follower counts. Facebook Pages can show post feeds or follower counts.
- If prompted, allow pop-up.
- For Social Media Followers, you can display both an Instagram and Facebook account simultaneously.
- For Social Media Posts, you will be able to specify a variety of settings based on the look, how much content is seen, and how quickly it runs/changes. Have fun trying out different settings!
Additional Details
- For Social Feeds, if a post includes multiple photos only the first photo will be shown.
- You can only use one set of Facebook/Instagram sign in credentials per presentation. You can however create separate presentations with different sign in credentials.
- Keep in mind that Facebook and Instagram can be commonly blocked within certain environments. Verify that the Rise Vision Network Requirements have been met if you are having any issues.
