This article explains how to connect a Google Calendar to a Rise Vision Presentation, so upcoming events automatically appear on your display.
Requirements
- A Google Calendar account
- Calendar must be either shared with your account or made public
Instructions
1. Create a Presentation from a Calendar Template
- Log in to your Rise Vision account, and from the Presentation tab select the + Add Presentation button. An appropriate Calendar template can be found two ways. Either:
- Look for presentations with “Calendar” in their name, or

Go to the Content filter dropdown on the left and select Calendar.
- Select the template of preference to load in the preview editor.
2. Configure the Calendar Settings
- Click on the Calendar base component in the left-hand panel to configure the calendar settings.
- Choose Sign in with Google to connect your Google Calendar.
- If you have previously signed into a Google Calendar before, the account will automatically connect. If this is your first time, a popup will prompt you to:
- Choose your Google account
- Grant permission for Rise Vision to access your calendar
- After signing in, select your calendar from the dropdown.
- Alternatively, choose Public URL and paste a public calendar link.
- Set your Date Range to control how far ahead to show events.
- If no events exist in that range, the calendar will appear empty.
3. Publish the Presentation
- Click Publish in the top-right corner.
- Assign the Presentation to a Schedule to start showing it on your Display.
Behavior Notes
- Changes made to your Google Calendar will sync to your display in about 5 minutes.
