Symptoms
You try to add a user to your Rise Vision company and see: "User could not be added. Something went wrong. User already exists"
Why this happens
- Account association limit. A Rise Vision user (email address) can only be registered/associated with one Rise Vision company at a time.
- The person signed in to Rise Vision before being invited to the correct company.
- On first sign-in without an invite, Rise Vision creates a separate company and a user record for that email.
- When you later try to add them to your company, the email is already associated with an existing user, so the add fails.
Resolution
Ask the person you’re inviting to remove their user from the unintended/trial company:
- Go to apps.risevision.com and sign in with the same email that triggered the error.
- From the left navigation, click Settings.
- Click Company Users
- Select the user from the list.
- Click the three dots (⋯) in the top-right, then choose Delete User and confirm.
Then add them to the correct company:
- In your company, go to Displays (or your usual Users/Access area) and add/invite the user again.
- The add should now succeed.
Note: Deleting the user above removes their user record from the unintended company. It does not remove them from your company (they weren’t added yet) and does not delete the email address itself.
