Keep your audience informed by displaying upcoming events, meetings, or schedules directly on your digital signage using the Calendar component.
Add the Calendar component
- Log in to your Rise Vision account and open the presentation you want to edit.
- Click on Add Component and select Calendar
- Select the calendar source from the options provided:
- Microsoft
- Public URL (iCal)
- If you select Google or Outlook, follow the prompts to log in to your account and authorize Rise Vision to access your calendar data.
- Select the checkbox next to each calendar you want to show and click Save.
Customize your calendar settings
Once your calendar is connected, update the settings to change how your events look and behave.
Choose a layout
- Scrolling: This shows a list of upcoming events that scrolls vertically if the list is longer than the component area.
- Single Event: This shows only one event at a time, highlighting the next upcoming item.
Set the date range
Use the Date Range fields to decide how far into the future the calendar should look. You can set this to a specific number of days, weeks, or months.
Toggle visibility and colors
- Show Description / Location: Use these switches to show or hide the extra details imported from your calendar provider.
- Show Completed Events: Turn this on if you want events to remain visible on the screen until the day is over.
- Color and Background: specify the the color the text or background to use.
Behavior notes
- Automatic Updates: Events from your selected calendars will automatically update on your displays.
- Text Handling: Long descriptions are automatically shortened with an ellipsis (...) to maintain the layout's visual integrity.
- Availability: If a previously selected calendar becomes inaccessible, a warning will appear in the settings asking you to re-select or contact support.
- Timezone: Times are displayed according to the timezone set in the calendar, not the display timezone.
- Private Events: Events marked as "Private" in your calendar settings will not display their details on the screen; they will simply show as "Busy."
- Permissions: Ensure the account you use to connect has "View" permissions for all the calendars you want to show.

How to Grant Admin Consent in Azure Portal
- If you receive a “Need admin approval” message when signing in, your Microsoft account may require administrative consent to connect to Rise Vision.
- Go to the Azure Portal: https://portal.azure.com
- Search for and open Azure Active Directory.
- Click Enterprise Applications from the left-hand menu.
- Search for Rise Vision Incorporated:
- If listed, click on it.
- If not listed, proceed to grant consent in the next step.
- Click Permissions and then click Grant admin consent for [Your Organization].
- Review the permissions and confirm.
- If you receive a “Need admin approval” message when signing in, your Microsoft account may require administrative consent to connect to Rise Vision.
